* The Pope came out and cut a promo about wanting a shot and not getting it. Bischoff said they could talk about it in the back.

* Taylor Wilde and Hamada defended the Knockout Tag Titles against Velvet Sky and Lacey Von Erich when Taylor pinned Lacey. Madison Rayne came down and hit Lacey with a biker helmet before the end. Angelina Love came down to help Lacey.

* Chris Sabin beat Jeremy Buck in a good match. Generation Me attacked Sabin after the match and took his belt.

* Samoa Joe beat The Pope. Pope was distracted by Jeff Jarrett, Sting and Kevin Nash on the outside. Joe also brawled after the match.

* Kurt Angle did a promo with Mr. Anderson and said he would retire at Bound For Glory if he didn’t win the TNA World Title.

* AJ Styles beat Sabu in a ladder match. This gives AJ’s Fortune team the advantage in Lethal Lockdown at Bound For Glory. The finish saw a brawl at ringside with Fortune and EV 2.0. Sabu got hit by a beer bottle and pinned.

* Abyss came out carrying Jeff Hardy who was out. Rob Van Dam came out and started to brawl with Abyss. Abyss was going to use Janice on RVD but Ink Inc. made the save.

George Sotiropoulos won't be getting quite the step up in competition that was reportedly in the works, as MMAMania.com brings word that the Aussie will face off against Joe Lauzon at UFC 123 in November.

The Sydney Morning Herald over the weekend reported that Sotiropoulos would face either B.J. Penn or Kenny Florian with a chance for a title shot with a victory, but that is not to be with the news of this fight.

Lauzon is coming off of a destructive victory over Gabe Ruediger in front of a rabid hometown crowd in Boston at UFC 118, and is looking to bring his name back to the forefront in the lightweight division.

After a nearly year long layoff that kept him out of action for most of 2009, Lauzon returned to the cage in January, falling to Sam Stout by decision. With ring rust a clear factor in his performance in that fight, Lauzon came out much stronger at 118 and blew through Ruediger en route to a first round submission win.

Sotiropoulos is a wholly different opponent, however, and will be out to continue his steady climb up the lightweight ladder. Taking out Kurt Pellegrino by decision in his last bout at UFC 116 in July to move to 6-0 inside the Octagon. A win over Lauzon keeps his name in the mix in the title picture.

UFC 123 is set to air live on pay-per-view from The Palace of Auburn Hills outside of Detroit, Mich. on November 20. The event will be headlined by a light heavyweight bout between former division champions Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Lyoto Machida.
While I really would have liked to see a B.J. * They announced Taker and Punk, and then the gong hit and Taker was in the ring, fire going off on stage. He talked about how he's had to protect Kane from others and himself, so he'll have no problem beating on him at the PPV. Taker says he still controls the power of the darkness. He said Kane will always remember his older, wiser, more evil brother would take his title back. Taker says no rules can contain them, and says the match must be no holds barred.

* CM Punk comes out alone, clapping. He tells everyone to stand and give Taker a round of applause fitting his legendary status. Punk says after the PPV none of us will see Taker again. He enjoys watching Taker on his own downward spiral, seeing a broken down man who's had one too many fights and is delusional.

* Taker says he sees his next victim. Punk says he doesn't hear the same panache in Taker's voice, saying he's facing Big Show at the PPV (for no title I guess?) Taker says Punk will rest in peace, and we break.

* Jack Swagger vs. MVP - they showed a recap of last week's VIP Lounge. It looks like MVP added the triple German suplexes, but only got two before Swagger elbowed out. Swagger did an abdominal stretch on MVP through the ropes. MVP hit the Ballin elbow, but Swagger slipped away before the 305. MVP followed and Swagger kicked the steps into MVP's knee, leading to the ankle lock for the tap.

* Laycool and Kaval in the back, arguing over who would face Melina, saying Vickie let either defend. Kaval said it was his first night on SD, and could the girls please chill? They heeled him a bit, saying he wouldn't be there if not for them.

* Next is a history of Taker and Kane.

* Tony Chimel announces Alberto del Rio's ring announcer, who announced Alberto.

* Alberto del Rio (with Orton's old sparkler curtain) vs. Matt Hardy - Matt's back to camouflage pants and no singlet. Alberto hit Matt on the apron with a running enziguri that was real loud. Matt hit an inverted Twist of Fate, ending with an elbowdrop for two, followed by a moonsault for two. They fought up top, with Alberto dropping to the floor to hang Matt's gut. Ram to the post followed by a flip into the cross-armbreaker for the tap. Afterwards, Christian ran Alberto off. Long TV match.

* Drew McIntyre vs. Kaval (who already has better music and video than Daniel Bryan) - Drew hit a nasty suplex on the floor, landing Kaval on the apron. Kaval with an enziguri from the top rope, but Drew rolled out before Warrior's Way. Kaval went for a rana from the apron but Drew essentially powerbomed Kaval. Back in the ring, Drew hit the Future Shock DDT for three. Laycool came out to check on Kaval, but were icky at his sweat. They helped him to the back.

* DASHING Cody Rhodes with grooming tips - how facials are good for men, while wearing a green facial mask.

* Vickie and Caitlyn came out...again. Vickie kept berating Caitlyn's promo work, then introduced Dolph Ziggler. Chavo (with short tights) also came out and the whole group came to the ring.

* Dolph Ziggler and Chavo Guerrero vs. Kofi Kingston and Chris Masters - One of these things just doesn't belong. Beatdown on Masters until a hot tag. Kofi entered with a high springboard clothesline. Double clothesline spot. Dolph made a tag but the ref didn't see it and put Chavo out - weird to do to the heels of course. Kofi hit Trouble in Paradise on Dolph for the three count.

* A lot of ring and stage setup, including Kane's pyro corners. Meantime Big Show on the tron, interviewing himself, with him playing Josh Matthews. Kelly told Show Josh was coming do Show hid the mic under his arm. Josh got his mic back, a bit soiled.

* CM Punk with Straight Edge Society, then he sends them to the back. Punk vs. Undertaker - Punk cut off the usual moves, but got chokeslammed for two. Taker went for the tombstone, but Punk slipped out and hit the GTS. Punk slow to cover, and Taker got the Hell's Gate for the tap.

* Undertaker went to pose and Kane's pyro went off with his laughter filling the arena like Joker's laugh box from 1989's Batman. That's where Smackdown ends.


Dark Match:
* Undertaker vs. Kane for the World title - ends in a double countout. Kane continued the beating til Taker hit a chokeslam. Kane ran after that and the show ended with Taker posing.

Bischoff gives congratulations to Ken Anderson for winning at No Surrender before putting over both Angle and Hardy for their match at the PPV. The crowd starts a "That was awesome" chant. Bischoff announces a Three-Way match for the TNA title at Bound for Glory but Dixie Carter overrules him and announces Angle vs. Hardy in a no time limit rematch for later tonight with the winner wrestling Anderson at BFG.

*Samoa Joe vs. Kevin Nash with Sting and Jeff Jarrett at ringside ends up a double countout as all four brawl outside the ring. Security finally separates them.

*Backstage, Madison Rayne tells Lacey Von Erich to get dressed as they have a tag bout later.

*Jay Lethal pinned Douglas Williams to capture the TNA X-Division championship. Post-match, TNA sets off orange and white and confetti in the ring. Lethal celebrates in the crowd.

*TNA Knockouts Tag Team champions Hamada & Taylor Wilde defeated Madison Rayne and Lacey Von Erich. Tara and Rayne attacked Lacey for losing but Angelina Love and Velvet Sky made the save and Lacey left with them.

*Tommy Dreamer comes out alone and says EV2.0 aren't here tonight and he's here alone. He calls out Fortune. Fortune come out in suits. Dreamer says he told his friends to stay home because he's tired of seeing his friends getting hurt and he's calling for a truce. Tommy puts over Fortune as a group, then puts over each member of Fortune one by one. Dreamer says he got Kaz his job in WWE, but Kaz left as he was unhappy and went on to meet his wife in TNA. Dreamer put over Matt Morgan and said he wrestled Bobby Roode in Roode's WWE tryout match but Roode turned down the job to stick with TNA. He called Ric Flair the "Ultimate hardcore person" and says the day Flair retires for good will be the saddest day in wrestling history. Dreamer then put over AJ Styles and said Styles is the best performer in wrestling today. He offers Styles his hand and says that if the situation was reversed last night, Dreamer would have done the same thing to him. Styles begins putting over Dreamer and the original ECW. Styles then said that if Dreamer was ECW and Dreamer wants to show him respect, Styles doesn't need his endorsement and Fortune attacks Dreamer. Brian Kendrick hit the ring and was laid out as well as he tried to protect Dreamer. Security hit the ring and Styles told Dreamer that if he wants his damn truce, now he can have it. Fortune walked off.

*Brian Kendrick took the mic and challenged anyone from Fortune to fight him right now. Matt Morgan took him up on the offer for an impromptu match....

*Brian Kendrick pinned Matt Morgan. Morgan demands the match be started over and struck from the record books but Kendrick doesn't return.

*Backstage, Abyss is torturing and branding people backstage with a branding iron. He screams "10/10/10" over and over.

*Generation Me come out and cut a promo saying the TNA Tag Team championships are supposed to be defended every 30 days but after what they did to Alex Shelley, there's no way that will happen. They demand Chris Sabin come out and hand them the tag team belts. Sabin hits the ring and attacks them but is overwhelmed and laid out.

*Kurt Angle vs. Jeff Hardy is a long match. Ken Anderson comes out to do commentary. Brian Hebner is bumped accidentally so Earl Hebner comes out to referee. Brian eventually recovers and there is a double pin. The referees argue over who won, so they watch an instant replay and there's no clear cut winner. Bischoff announces the Three-Way match for Bound for Glory. Angle and Hardy hug.
