The Impact Report (March/Week 1/Year 10)

The show opened with TNA Champion Robert Roode coming to the ring and delivering a message: sometimes you aren’t the strongest in the fight or the biggest in the fight, but since Jim Cornette granted Kurt Angle a title shot last week, people have been calling him the underdog. He said that he has beaten Angle. At that point, Angle showed up w/ a microphone. Angle talked for a few minutes about what he was going to do to Roode at Destination X. Cornette comes out and announces there will be a contract signing in the ring tonight and if Angle places his hands on Roode or Ms. Brooks, he would be fired.

Backstage, World Tag Champs LAX welcomed Jeremy Borash to their dressing room. Borash asked them who they though would win the #1 Contenders match. Konnan responded it didn’t matter because LAX is unbeatable. It was also announced that Ricky Banderas would make his in ring Impact debut Next Week.

Match 1: The Hoyts vs. VKM
Standard back and forth. Nothing major stood out. Hoyts won at 4:18 with stereo powerbombs. LAX pearl harbored the Hoyts, injuring Drew.

Match 2: Sonjay Dutt vs. Matt Bentley
Dutt defeated Bentley.

Backstage: James Mitchell was talking to Raven. He said that Raven was over the hill and challenged him to a match at Destination X.

A promo ran saying that “The Fighting Machine” is coming to TNA

Match 3: Scott Steiner vs. Chris Sabin
Sabin used a knee lift to gain early control. He continued to build momentum with a hard right hand and a choke hold, but Steiner caught him by surprise with a flying body press off the second rope and a headlock. Sabin came back with a pressing kick and a stalling back body drop. He taunted the former member of the Michigan wrestling team and set him up for the hesitation dropkick. Sabin missed, though, allowing Steiner to go for a Steiner Recliner. Aj Styles ran in and jumped Steiner. Steiner defeated Sabin by DQ. After the match, Cornette came to the ring and announced a triple threat match for Destination X with Sabin, Steiner and Styles. For Sabin’s money in the ban contract. Sabin looked worried

Contract signing for the TNA Championship…Tenay and West hyped the PPV. Roode was all smiles before the signing began. Angle sat down in the chair after a bit of stalling and preparation. The crowd chanted “Angle.” After initially sitting down, Angle got back up as Roode was attempting to grab the mic. The crowd again chanted “Angle.” Angle sat back down and Roode locked hold on the mic. Roode said he would toss Angle around like a rag doll. Roode then got pumped up thinking he would lure Angle into striking him. Angle faked after Roode but then grabbed the contract and signed it. Ms. Brooks sideswiped Angle and Roode began to beat him with the title. Roode signed the contract and began to leave. Angle grabbed Ms. Brooks and german suplexed her through the table.

The Impact Report (March/Week 2/Year 10)

Backstage, Cornette approached Angle and said despite the fact that Angle broke the agreement, the title match was still on because he was provoked. Angle responded that if Ms. Brooks interferes at Destination X he would snap her ankle. Cornette then said that she was banned from the arena at Destination X.

Further backstage, Jeremy Borash interviewed LAX. He asked how they could do such a horrible thing to the Hoyts. Konnan responded that they could do whatever they want because they are the champions. Borash wished Banderas luck in his match which is next. Banderas says he doesn’t need luck. He is latino.

Mike Tenay says that Raven has accepted James Mitchell’s challenge for Destination X

Match 4: Ricky Banderas (w/ LAX) vs. Kaz
Banderas hit a Rock Bottom type move to win at 7:20.

A promo ran saying that “The Fighting Machine” is coming to TNA

Match 5: Chris Harris and Team 3D vs. Christian Cage, Tomko and Alex Shelley
-All parties brawled in the ring as the bell tolled. The faces cleared the ring of the heels and went after them on the outside. Harris slammed Tomko’s face on the announce table repeatedly. Back in the ring, Ray continued his roll and gave Cage repeated shots with his boot. He then choked the Instant Classic in the corner. D-Von put his feet up, and Ray rammed Cage’s face into them. D-Von then tagged in and hit a swinging neck breaker. A knife edge chop followed for D-von, who then tagged Ray back into the match. Ray beat the hell out of Cage and taunted Shelley. Cage managed to scamper away and tag Tomko, but got a clothesline for his trouble. Harris tagged Ray and caught Tomko with a back elbow smash, a body slam, and a leg drop. D-Von tagged in and hit a dropkick. He followed with a low dropkick to the back of the head and made a unique cover. Shelley tried to get involved, but the Team 3D caught him and Wazzup Headbutted him. The crowd chanted “Cage Sucks” and “Shelley Sucks” to Harris’s delight. We then got a dreaded mid-match commercial break, but I guess that was to be expected. Back from the break, Ray had Shelley mounted in the corner for several punches. After 10 of them, Ray tried to follow with a swinging neckbreaker, but Shelley blocked. Tomko tagged in and took control of Ray. Cage tagged in and continued to build momentum for the heels. Shelley tagged in, as the crowd again chanted “This match sucks.” Shelley proceeded to hit a top rope guillotine and a gutbuster on Ray. Tomko tagged back in synched on a rear chinlock. Ray made it to his feet, but Tomko brought him back to the mat with a stiff kick. Cage tagged in and dropped his knee on Ray’s sternum. Cage and Tomko then hit a nice side walk slam and reverse DDT combination. Devon made the save to avoid the heels getting the pin, but Cage went right back to stomping away at Ray. He leaped up and connected with a knee drop before locking on a rear chokehold. Cage and Tomko then tried to hit some tandem offense, but Ray countered with a bionic elbow to both of them. Harris finally got the tag and hit a bulldog and clothesline combo on Cage and Tomko. As Triple H cleaned house in the ring, Kenny hit HBK with a chair on the outside. Meanwhile, Team 3D tried to finish off Tomko with The 3D. However, Tomko hit a big boot on both of them, knocking Ray out of the ring. Tomko then connected with a Guillotine on Harris, Cage followed up with the Unprettier to pick up the win. Christian Cage, Tomko and Alex Shelley defeated Chris Harris and Team 3D at 23:55.

Jim Cornette came out to the ring and ran down the Destination X Card.

As Impact begins Chris Sabin is in the ring

Chris Sabin: “You know I've been in this company for so long. And in all that time, I have been hosed out of world title shots, until now. You see, this briefcase entitles me to anything, I so desire. A World Title shot, a tag title shot. Hell, I could even cash it in to name myself as the new representative of TNA management. But, I am not going to lie to you. This briefcase will be cashed in for a shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. The only question, is when. So, I leave it up to you all here in the Impact Zone. Should I cash it in to place myself against the winner of the Lockdown main event? (fans cheer) How about cashing it in to put myself in the Lockdown main event? (fans cheer again). Or how about I cash it in tonight? (fans erupt with cheers) That is exactly why I don’t listen to you. You people are idiots. As cowardly as it was that Robert Roode waited until the champion was beaten down and bloody to cash it in, it was a good strategy. And when I decide to get my shot, it will be the right time and right place...”

{Sting's music hits and he walks to the ring}

Sting: “You make me laugh. For years you have been saying that you would do anything for a title shot. However, you seem to forget, you got your shot at the World Title and you lost. You could not hang the title on the brass ring. With help from all of the little Stingers. I was the man who hung the belt up and walked out with the NWA world heavyweight championship. Not you. I was the man who...”

{Jim Cornette walks out onto the ramp}

Cornette: “With all do respect Sting, what the hell are you talking about? That was 7 years ago. To paraphrase Mark McGwire, we are not here to talk about the past. We are here to talk about the future. The future for TNA is Lockdown. And at Lockdown, Both of you men will be participating in the Lethal Lockdown match. The Winning 4 man Team in the Lethal Lockdown match will go on to Slammiversary and participate in the King of the Mountain Match. Tonight we will see Lethal Lockdown qualifier matches. X-DIVISION ESCAPE MATCH FOR THE X DIVISION TITLE (with special guest referee Stomper the Kangaroo) Sonjay Dutt (c) vs. Jerry Lynn vs. Petey Williams vs. Rhyno vs. Shark Boy
The first three eliminations are by pin fall or submission, and the final two fight until one man escapes the steel cage. The match started off with Lynn against Dutt. Shark Boy, Rhyno and Petey will be tag in. Lynn DDT-ed the champion, and got a two count for the first pin fall attempt of the night. Stomper is the referee for the opening bout. A great drop kick by Shark Boy from the top rope onto Rhyno. Rhyno pinned Shark Boy at 5:42, so its down to four. Williams came into the match doing the double ax handle move. Fans chanted "this is awesome." Fans followed up with "GORE, GORE" and "TNA, TNA" chants. Williams pinned Lynn at 13:30, so its down to final three. Rhyno Gores Dutt but the Damn Kangaroo is out of posing for the crowd. Dutt rolls up Rhyno to eliminate him. Rhyno is pissed that the Kangaroo missed the count on Dutt but was able to count his shoulders to the mat. Rhyno gores the damn Kangaroo through the cage allowing Dutt to jump through the opening to the floor first at 15:50 to retain the title.

Backstage, JB interviewed Team Sabin. They are all confident. Sabin said they are already have the match, and they are celebrating. All is well until Sabin cracks on Raven about being bald, Raven gets upset

6-man tag for the NWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
LAX (Homicide, Hernandez and Ricky Banderas) (c) vs. Serotonin (Martyr, Havok and Kaz)
Mitchell didn't accompany Serotonin to the ring, which was questioned by the announcers. Kaz has been busted open via a chain used by Banderas. At about 21 minutes, Brother Runt climbs into the ring and hits the Acid Drop on Havok. Hernadez tries to toss Runt out of the cage door but is KO’d by a hiding Chris Harris. Havok rolls on top of Hernandez. Serotonin wins the NWA Tag Team Championship. Chris Harris is now a member of Serotonin

- They recapped the build up to tonight's Lethal Lockdown cage match.

Lethal Lockdown: Team Sabin vs. Team Sting. AJ Styles will start for Team Sting, and Abyss for Team Sabin in the opening five minute interval. The next to enter the match is Sting for the next two minutes - so its Abyss vs. Styles and Sting for two minutes. Raven enters the cage next, to even up the odds. Raven’s DDT attempt was blocked by Styles, but he was hit with the black hole slam. No pin falls or submissions until all 8 men enter the cage. C.C enters the cage next, for the 3-2 advantage for Team Sting. Styles has been busted open. After another two minutes, Chris Sabin entered next to even it up at 3 on 3. Sabin enters as a daredevil, Jumping off of the Cage onto Sting. Samoa Joe enters the cage for a Team Sting 4 on 3 advantage. James Storm entered next for Team Sabin, so its 4 on 4. The top of the cage lowers with all the weapons including chairs, garbage can tops, cookie sheets, and a bat. Jarrett tosses the bat to Sting. Jarrett tosses other weapons to his team mates. Styles exits the cage. Styles climbs up to the top of the cage. Sabin follows up, and AJ and Sabin brawl on top of the rope. AJ nails Sabin with a chair on top of the cage. Suicide dive by Joe on Storm on the arena floor. Abyss lays out the thumbs back in the middle of the ring. Sting plants Abyss on the tacks with a spinebuster ! DDT by Raven to Cage. Sabin hits the Cradleshock on Styles on the top of the cage. Sting grabs another bag of tacks, and pours them on the mat. Chris Sabin drops back to the ground and climbs to the top rope in the ring. He attempts to hit a crossbody on sting but is powerslammed on the tacks. Sting scores the Pin. Sting, Samoa Joe, Christian Cage, AJ Styles all are in the King of the Mountain at Slammiversary in 2 months.

Enclosed Cage for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship
Robert Roode (c) vs. Kurt Angle
At about 17 minutes, Angle has Roode in the ankle lock. Roode reverses and kicks Angle into the cage door. The door comes off a hinge. Angle puts the ankle lock back on Roode. Vladimir Prudius enters the impact zone and rips the door of the cage the rest of the way off. He enters the ring and hit Angle with the “Slam from Russia”. Roode escapes the cage and grabs a ladder from under the ring. He slides it in, sets it up and drops a leg drop onto Angle. Prudius proceeds to beat Angle all through the impact zone and into the parking lot. He belly to belly suplexes Angle onto the hood of a car and then piledrives him on a windsheild. Pruduis then rolls Angle onto a gurney and back down to ringside. He slides angle back into the ring. Roode drops off of the ladder onto Angle with the cage doore. And pins him easily. Angle is a bloody mess.

the Chris Sabin/Sting/Cornette one was all mine.

Plans for future "months" below

Suggest ideas for storylines
Abyss - He has held the TNA title a total of 4 times. His biggest challenge for the title has been Christian Cage and Robert Roode. His 4th reign lasted about 8 minutes. His short tag title reign with Raven at the end of year 7 was very refreshing.

Kurt Angle - 2 time world champion, Both title reigns were extremely short lived. He is expected to face Oleg Prudius at Slammiversary. An argument with Vince Russo, is reportedly the reason he has not got a big run as champion.

Ricky Banderas - Has not done much in his short time in TNA.

Basham - Has not debuted in TNA yet, but is rumored to be one of the new stable mates for Raven. Was rumored to be in TNA’s crosshairs for a Genesis Year 1 debut, a role that eventually went to Joe Laurinatis (who failed miserably)

Brother Runt - The one time X division champion has not had a major role in TNA in close to 4 years. A rumored partnership with Chris Harris is expected to revitalize the tag division.

Christian Cage - 3 time World Champion, has portrayed a solid heel his whole TNA career. He is reportedly the frontrunner for Sean Waltman to feud with should he show up in TNA

Rob Conway - Creative had reportedly planned to team Conway with Ray Gordy. However, with Gordy’s vignettes expected to debut shortly, chances are Conway will be released.

Damaja - Has not debuted in TNA yet, but is rumored to be one of the new stable mates for Raven. Was rumored to be in TNA’s crosshairs for a Genesis Year 1 debut, a role that eventually went to Joe Laurinatis (who failed miserably)

"The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels - Short title reigns have riddled his career in TNA. Might feud with Jay Lethal.

Sonjay Dutt - His X title reign has gone on for a while. Creative is expected to give him a bodyguard, (Paul Wight or Matt Morgan) and have him portray a cocky heel character similar to HBK

Ray Gordy - Was signed in November, Year 8 and released by May of the next year. He only competed in 1 televised match (a loss to Sonjay Dutt). Previous gimmick was a masked superhero (RayGun). Is expected to debut again very soon.

Chris Harris - Expected to feud with LAX and Serotonin in the coming months

Havok - His 8 month hiatus from TNA was rewarded with an X division title reign (in which he won from halftime stable member Matt Bentley)

Drew Hoyt (Drew Hankinson) - Two months of competition down the drain as TNA has officially abandoned the character of Drew Hoyt. Could be released any day

Lance Hoyt - Has management’s backing for a Main Event run, yet, is likely to be used as Cornette’s enforcer (if the rumored Cornette/Rhyno storyline goes through)

Kaz -His close to a year hiatus has been rewarded with a tag title run. Still, however he is being considered for the chopping block.

"Black Machismo" Jay Lethal - Could be placed under a specialty use category (like Shark Boy)

Jerry Lynn - He is expected to remain as a heel for a while. Possibly considered for the third announcing spot on the TNA broadcasts.

Martyr - Only Serotonin member not to be released. Has won both the X division title and Tag title

Oleg Prudius - Was signed for a run against Kurt Angle, will probably be released at the end of the summer.

Raven - The Serotonin/Raven feud is widely considered to be a failure. Could be the next competitor to do the job against Oleg Prudius (if he sticks around)

Rhino - Is getting a much deserved heel push that could end with him defeating (* POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT) Sting for the World Title at Bound For Glory

Robert Roode - Will lose the World title in the coming months (by months, I mean probably 2 weeks in actual time)

Chris Sabin - He has a guaranteed favor from TNA management, that he will cash in soon, successfully (Already know what is going to happen, this should really piss people off). Will continue to feud with Sting

Samoa Joe - A run with Christian Cage, maybe a match against Robert Roode or Chris Sabin.

Sting - Good chance at another World title run, Definite feud with Chris Sabin.

James Storm - New tag partner? (Either Charlie Skaggs or Tomko)

AJ Styles - Heel Feud with Robert Roode

Tomko - Possible X title run

Petey Williams - I have no clue what to do with this guy

Eric Young - See Petey Williams

Impact opens with a small video package recapping Lockdown

Serotonin makes its way to the ring

James Mitchell: Ladies and Gentlemen, I finally find it as the right time to explain my actions of a few months ago. The reason I rescued Serotonin from the clutches of Raven was because I knew that they could do so much more than lose to the ground floor of Talent here in TNA. My record proves it self worthy, I am solely responsible for the successes of guys like Abyss, Samoa Joe, Predator, Apolo and Team Rising Sun. None of those guys can even compare to these three legendary talents. Of course, if I were to say that these guys won the premier tag team titles in all of wrestling on there own, I would be lying. They could not have done it without help of…

Chris Harris enters the Impact Zone. Before Harris can speak, Serotonin attacks him.
They hold him in front of James Mitchell.

Mitchell: We never asked for your help. We do not want your help…

Brother Runt runs out and attempts to attack Serotonin. He is soundly beaten. LAX then runs out and successfully runs Serotonin off. Konnan grabs the mic.

Konnan: You know, Runt. I know your family and LAX have never had a great relationship, but We want to thank you for what you did last Sunday.

Hernandez then attacks Runt with the Cracker Jack.

Borash: Your thoughts about Samoa Joe

Cage: My thoughts? You want to know my thoughts about Samoa Joe? My thoughts are simple he is a fat piece of crap. The only thing Samoa Joe means to me is a roadblock. He is a roadblock on my road to a 4th World Title. He might have been on my side at Lockdown and might be standing across from me at Slammiversary in the King of the Mountain. But he has never won King of the Mountain. I have. And you know the best thing Jerome? Tonight, I am going to take him off of the Mountain by throwing him off like he is Wyle E. Coyote. Because there is strength in numbers and I got the numbers.

Chris Sabin vs. Alex Shelley
18 minute mark: Sabin hits a running DDT for the win
Winner: Chris Sabin

After the match he blames Raven for his teams loss at Lockdown and says that when he gets the chance he will bitch slap Raven’s teeth out of his cueball head.

Samoa Joe is in the back with Jeremy Borash
Borash: Your thoughts about Christian Cage

Joe: You know something JB, Anyone who has to say the phrase, there is strength in numbers is obviously not strong enough to get the job done on there own. Its true that I have not won a King of the Mountain match., but, I find it necessary to remind you Christian, that the last time you and I were standing face to face as opponents, I didn’t pin you either. I did not make you tap, or win by countout or DQ. I choked you out Cage. Tonight, expect the same.

The room is hectic with Leticia, Shark Boy and a few other people

Roode: Jim, can I talk to you for a minute

Cornette: I’ve got some Russian bastard steamrolling my X division, piles of teams claiming they deserve title shots at Serotonin. Christian Cage and Samoa Joe are beating the hell out of each other and I keep getting calls from Arena staff saying that Kevin Nash is riding a donkey around the parking lot, so what is it Bob?

Roode: Being as I am the World Champion, I think it is prevalent that I know what my role at Sacrifice will be.

Cornette: You wanna know what you are gonna do at Sacrifice?

Roode: Yes

Cornette: I will tell you next week

Roode: I want to know now.

You all know that I am not the type of man that piggybacks his way to fame, and you all know that I am not just a one trick pony. Petey Williams is everything I am not. It took him riding Robert Roode’s coattails to get to where he is. I earned everything I have won. TNA has been screwing me for years. They had to bring in some jackass from Japan to get the X division title off of me. I am Rhyno.

Robert Roode is backstage with Jeremy Borash
Roode: “JB. I was raised by the good book. Learned to work hard every day. Taught that if you can’t say something good there is nothing good to say. Going by that theory, there is nothing for me to say about Jim Cornette. He tried very hard to get this title off of me at Sacrifice. I could have easily just laid down and sacrificed this title and save myself from certain bodily harm. I have a guaranteed spot in the King of the Mountain. Plus my rematch clause. I would have easily got this title back in King of the Mountain, but you know why I fought hard and kept this title? Because, I have to much pride to sacrifice this title for my own safety. I respect this business to much to do that. Before now, I would have easily given up and hoped to get redemption. But having this title has changed Robert Roode as a human being. This title is the most coveted prize in this business and I am sickened to see James E. Cornette try to rape this title of over 100 years of dignity by making me defend it in a triple threat handicap tag match. A match so stupid that half of the paying audience left because they knew 2 things. One, Robert Roode would walk out champion and Two, that match was a complete and utter cluster…

Jim Cornette: If you finish that sentence, I will fire both of you on the spot. I understand that Sacrifice sucked. You know whose shoulders that falls on? Mine and mine alone. So I will let you tear into me and all of my decisions but what gets me is you want those people to get behind you because you refused to lay down. Bob, I actually wish you would have laid down, so these fans could have seen you for the coward that you are.

(7) NWA Title Match - King of the Mountain
Robert Roode vs. Sting vs. Christian Cage vs. AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe

Hopefully you know the rules because I would be here until next PPV explaining them to you. Basically it’s a reverse ladder match with a penalty box and other props. After being introduced, Samoa Joe grabbed two tables and set them up near Tenay and West. Jim Cornette was the keeper of the penalty box and the title belt. Everyone brawled in, out and above the ring. Sting and Cage briefly worked together on Roode but it ended when Cage mocked Sting. Styles and Joe fought around the ring as Cage dumped Sting to the floor then hit him with a plancha. Sting flew out of the ring onto the others. Sting pinned Styles and sent AJ to the box for two minutes. Joe got the tables as Sting tossed AJ in the box. Roode went for a ladder and Cage gave it to him, jaw first. Sting stood by the penalty box mocking AJ. Joe went to press slam Cage but Cage slipped out and rolled up him up for the pin. This sent Joe to the box and made Cage title eligible. AJ got out and dragged Sting into the ring as Roode laid the boots into Cage’s ribs. The four men kept beating down each other as Joe shook the penalty box. As Joe was freed Cage and Roode fought on the floor with a ladder. Roode stopped his attack and helped Joe make a house of tables outside the ring. Sting missed a splash and Joe hit the suplex to the floor and pinned him. Sting went to the box while Joe can climb the ladder. Cage and Roode brawled into the fans as AJ and Joe joined them. While Cage tried to throw Roode off the seating balcony, AJ and Joe traded hip tosses onto the concrete floor. Cage and Roode brawled over to the hard cam side of the building. As the foursome fought, Sting got out of the box and went to hang the title belt. Styles finally realized what was going on and he tipped Sting off the ladder. Roode and Styles decked the other three with a ladder. Roode pinned Sting to gain title rights. Roode locked Cage in the ladder and used it to climb the title to the top. Joe grabbed Roode and they fell to the floor. All 4 men struggled to find oxygen. Sting got out of the box and in the ring and went to hang the belt but Joe sent him crashing to the floor and the ladder plus Earl Hebner hit the canvas. Joe grabbed the belt from Roode but Styles hit the Pele to gain title climbing rights. Styles went up the ladder but Sting sent him into the tables Joe set up. Cage and Sting traded punches in the middle of the ring but Sting hit the splash and the Scorpion Death Lock. Styles snuck in and went to hang the belt but Sting stopped him. Joe went to use the chair but Cage stopped him and Sting hit the Scorpion Death Drop on the chair. Roode hit Styles with a fishermans suplex. The ref counted both of there shoulders to the mat. They must both go to the box. Roode hit Hebner with the payoff, knocking him out. Sting grabbed a ladder and hit Christian and Joe with a ladder knocking them both out of the ring. Sting set the ladder up and hung the belt. The ref did not see the belt being hung. Christian climbed the ladder behind Sting and tossed him off to the outside. When Henber revived himself, he saw Cage on the ladder, with the belt hung and called for the bell.
Winner: Christian Cage

He has been talking to TNA Management, since Slammiversary trying to straighten the title picture out and has finally made a decision.

Recap of Victory Road

The show opened with Kevin Nash coming to the ring to a very nice reaction from the Orlando crowd. Tenay and West hyped replays of Victory Road. Nash proceeded to run down a list that included Vince McMahon, Eric Bischoff, and Paul Heyman, all legendary matchmakers. He said that the list doesn’t yet include himself but after tonight it will. Chris Sabin (Piss Gaybin according to Nash) came out at that point (w/ the title) and said that Nash could forget about him for tonight. Nash interrupted him and informed him he was not in action again until Hard Justice. Nash remarked how well that his plan had worked in the past. A Lethal Lottery tournament with the winners from the next 3 weeks competing in a battle royal at Hard Justice, in which the final 3 in the match face Chris Sabin in a Fatal 4 Way. The first tournament match is next.

Match 1: Andy Douglas & Ray Jeezy vs. Havoc (of Serotonin) & “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal
-The match began during a commercial break. Back from the break, Jeezy took down Havoc with a shoulder tackle and a hip toss. Lethal tagged in and took brief control, but Jeezy came back with a series of chops. Douglas made a blind tag, allowing he and Jeezy to hit an inverted atomic drop and clothesline combo. Lethal got momentum back when he got his boot up on a Douglas attempt at a second rope high risk. Havoc tagged in and hit a backdrop slam. He went for the cover, but didn’t get the pin. Havoc wailed away on Douglas, keeping him grounded. Havoc proceeded to connect on a kick to the back and tagged Lethal, who came in and scored with a double axehandle for a near fall. Lethal worked over Douglas’ head and neck area, but The Natural fought back to his feet and started a brawl with the Black Savage. Douglas used an enziguiri to set-up the hot tag to Jeezy. Jeezy came in and cleaned house of the opponents. Jeezy hit a facebuster on Havoc and then knocked him out of the ring. Lethal tried to catch Jeezy with a clothesline, but was back dropped over the top rope. Havoc went on to nail Jeezy with an “international object” for the win. HAVOC & JAY LETHAL WON THE MATCH AND ARE QUALIFIED FOR THE HARD JUSTICE BATTLE ROYAL.

Martyr eventually dodged a running big boot by Hoyt and made the tag to Sonjay, who came in and connected on a missle dropkick on both Daniels and Hoyt. Martyr and Dutt proceeded to score with a double sidekick on each of the opponent. However, Daniels hit a double clothesline on Martyr and Dutt. Scott Steiner said that if by some screwed up fate they ended up against each other tonight, they should do what Steiners do best. Beat the hell out of everyone with no regard for who the opponents are.

Match 3: Chris Harris & Bob Backlund vs. Ron Killings & Abyss
The crowd gave Backlund a mixed reaction. Harris and Abyss stared each other down and circled the wagons before Backlund connected on a two right handed punches that had little effect on Abyss. HARD JUSTICE

Match 1: James Storm vs. Bob Backlund
They came face to face as the opening bell sounded, but soon locked up. Backlund scored the first offensive move with a fireman’s carry, but Storm came back with a strong shoulder tackle. The crowd taunted Storm and he egged them on, allowing Backlund to take advantage and grab a waist lock. They then locked up again, but Storm trying to grab an armbar…unsuccessfully. Into a standoff they went, as the crowd got behind Backlund. Storm fished around for a test of strength, but it was simply a ploy to get Backlund to open a door for him. The former WWF champ managed to take control with a series of stomps and kicks, but Storm came back with a suplex and a back elbow smash. Backlund then clotheslined Storm over the top and followed him to the outside. Back in the ring, Backlund stomped away at Storm. Storm connected on the coffin dodger with a low blow and followed that with two hot shots, but could only score a near fall. Storm then went to the top for an elbow, but Backlund got his knees up during the attempt. The world craziest AARP member tried to get his offense going again, but Storm countered and went for the Crucifix Powerbomb. However, Bob countered and locked in the chicRyan wing but could only hold it for a minute. Storm then placed Bob on the top turnbuckle. He followed him up top, but Bob headbutted James back to the mat. Storm recovered and kicked Backlund in the crotch. The referee called for the bell Bob Backlund defeated James Storm via DQ.

Backstage, Paul Roma told Ryan Reeves he needed to be totally secluded. Kevin Nash came in to congratulate Roma for finding a way to beat Samoa Joe twice.

Match 2: TNA Tag Team Champions Kaz and Martyr (w/ James Mitchell) vs. Alex Shelley and Shark Boy (w/ Short Sleeve Sampson)
-Shelley started it off against Kaz, w/ Alex taking early control with a ddt. Sharky made the tag and he and Shelley proceeded to connect on a double arm drag, followed by a double kick. Another quick tag and Shelley scored with a backbreaker. The two then hit Martyr with a double clothesline. Mitchell tried to interfere, but Sampson thwarted his efforts. Soon after, the champs both found themselves on the outside trying to escape, but the challengers took to the air after them with simultaneous baseball slide. Mitchell got involved to finally give the champs some much needed momentum. A nice double team followed from the champs, as Martyr connected on a double knee strike from the second rope while Kaz held Sharky in place across the second rope. Martyr kept rolling with a legsweep before tagging Kaz, who quickly buried his knee into SB’s back and applied a submission. Sharky eventually battled back and tried to get to Shelley, but Serotonin maintained control w/ typical heel tactics. Shelley eventually got the hot tag and cleaned house with uppercuts and dropkicks. He went for the Reverse STO on Kaz, but Mitchell got involved again and helped place Shelley on the top rope. Kaz then took out SB, while Martyr brought Shelley crashing to the mat with a super back drop. Alex came back with a spinning DDT on Martyr, but Kaz came in while the ref’s back was turned and hit a powerful backbreaker across his knee. Meanwhile, the managers started a cat fight. The champions kept roaring when they connected on a sidekick legsweep on Shelley. Serotonin defeated Alex Shelley and Shark Boy to retain the belts

Match 3: The Steiner Brothers vs. Ray Jeezy and Funkmaster Charles
Rick slapped the former Scorpio to start the match. The Steiners dominated. The finish came when The Steiners destroyed the Urbanites with a spike bulldog.

A hype video aired for the Samoa Joe vs. Ryan Reeves match…

Match 4: Samoa Joe vs. Ryan Reeves
Joe charged w/ a running big boot, but Reeves ducked it and wailed away on the Samoan in the corner. He tried to follow with a running clothesline, but Joe got his boot up and caught Reeves square in the face. Joe then went to work on Ryan’s arm, tugging and pulling at it before slamming him shoulder-first into the ring-post. He inched close to the turnbuckle for a musclebuster, but Reeves scampered away to the outside. Joe followed him out and slammed his arm into the ring steps, leaving Reeves reeling. Back in the ring, Joe continued his assault on the arm, grabbing him in a mercy grip, lifting him in the air, and dropping him hard on the mat. Reeves rolled to the outside again, but Joe followed and slammed Reeves shoulder-first into the ring-post. Back in the ring, Reeves tried to escape the Samoan. His only escape route was to again head to the outside. Joe followed once more, allowing Reeves the window he needed to gain a much needed strike. However, Joe came back quickly. To the ring they returned, where Joe grabbed Reeves’s arm and went to the top for an armbreaker. However, Reeves jumped up to the second rope and tossed Joe off the top with a modified arm drag. Reeves finally got his offense going with a series of punches and kicks. Joe came back with a boot to the shoulder, though, before returning his focus to the injured arm. He went back to the top for the armbreaker and connected on it. The Samoan followed with the running knee for a near fall. Reeves then made his way to the corner and removed the top turnbuckle cover. Joe didn’t let up, though, scoring with a hard clothesline for another near fall. Joe’s dominance continued with an choke in the corner, but meanwhile the top turnbuckle cover was still uncovered (going unnoticed by the ref). Joe tried for a running big knee in the corner, but Reeves moved and sent Joe crotch-first across the top rope. Reeves followed with a running forearm that knocked the Samoan off the apron and to the floor. Reeves followed him outside and stomped away. He rammed Joe’s face into the guardrail and went back in the ring. Reeves went to the apron and tried to come off with a flying cross body, but Joe caught him and rammed him back-first into the ring post. Back in the ring, Joe scored a near fall, but was unable to keep his offense going, as Reeves grabbed him by the trunks and tossed him back to the outside. As Joe tried to re-enter the ring, Reeves hopped up and hit him with a running DDT for a near fall. Reeves followed by placing Joe’s neck across the second rope and choking him. A Samoa Joe-inspired running leg lariat kept Reeves in control. The crowd was fairly dead at this point, but Reeves continued his sustained offense with stomps and shoulder thrusts in the corner. Ryan then caught the Samoan with a running boot across the face, as the crowd finally woke up and chanted for Joe. Reeves scored with an elbow drop…and then another one before reverting to choking. Joe fought back and knocked Reeves over the top rope. The Samoan proceeded to set Reeves on the apron and give him an Undertaker inspired knee drop across the throat. Reeves limp body fell to the floor. Joe tossed Ryan back in the ring, but it was Reeves who got the momentum, as he delivered the piledriver. 1…2…No! Joe kicked out, as West said that Reeves was going to win. Reeves placed a submission around the neck and upper body of the Samoan. He wrapped his legs around Joe’s mid-section for added leverage. The ref lifted Joe’s arm once, but the Samoan fought back soon after with a back drop. When they reached their feet, the two superstars traded blows in the center of the ring. Joe got the best of Reeves and scored with a leaping clothesline and two splashes in the corner. He then hit a leg drop for a near fall and signaled for the Muscle Buster. Reeves grabbed the ref to prevent the move, allowing him the opportunity to hit a swinging neckbreaker. Reeves tried to follow with The Tombstone , but Joe countered and almost ran into the ref. Reeves ran at Joe, but the Samoan ducked, nearly sending Reeves into the ref. The confused ref wandered away for a moment, allowing Joe to slam Ryan’s head right into the exposed turnbuckle. He then followed with the Muscle Buster. 1…2…3 Samoa Joe defeated Ryan Reeves.

Match 5: Falls Count Anywhere Match- Drew Hoyt vs. Raven. They brawled to open the bout, but Drew got in a European uppercut and a back elbow smash to take early control. Raven came back with a sidekick after sliding thru Drew’s legs. Raven tried for another kick, but Drew dodged it and tried to roll thru for a pin attempt. Raven rolled thru Drew’s attempt and wailed away with repeated right handed shots. They ended up trading punches and knocking each other to the floor with hard strikes. Raven made it to his feet first and connected with a low dropkick on the outside. Drew came back with a European uppercut and then tossed Raven into the steel guardrail. He taunted Raven with words about him not being big enough. Drew knocked Raven back toward the ring and tried to powerbomb him on the announce table. Raven grabbed Hoyt’s legs to block the move and held on to it. Raven kicked Drew in the face and then used the table to hop onto Hoyt’s shoulders and score with a odd looking hurricanrana. Raven began kicking away at Drew’s head. He proceeded to toss Hoyt into the guardrail, but Drew came back quickly with a drop toe hold onto the very same guardrail. Hoyt tried to throw Raven into the guardrail again, but Raven countered, tossed Drew into the guardrail, and draped him across the rail. Raven followed with a leg drop off one section of the guardrail and across Drew’s back and neck. Back to the rail Raven went, with him coming off with a DDT this time. Raven tried to continue his offense with a bulldog on the floor, but Drew countered and tossed Raven side-first into the rail once again. Drew took control and tossed Raven back and forth against chairs and the rail. Into the stands they went, w/ Drew kicking and punching Raven up the steps. He scored with a European uppercut, but Raven battled back and kicked Drew down the stairs. Raven tossed Drew over the rail and back to the floor. He followed with a chair shot and repeatedly kicked Hoyt in the face. Raven tried the kick one too many times, though, as Drew eventually grabbed his foot and gave him a hard clothesline on the floor. Hoyt tossed Raven into a row of chairs and wailed away on his upper back and shoulder area. Again, Drew whipped Raven into the guardrail and connected on another European uppercut. Raven fought back with a double boot that sent Drew back a few feet. Raven followed with a drop toe hold on the guardrail. Raven then went to the top of one of the rails and attempted a tornado DDT but Hoyt reversed and powerbombed Raven through the announce table for the win. Drew Hoyt defeated Raven

Match 7: World Champion Chris Sabin vs. Tomko vs. Abyss vs. Jay Lethal
(first person to score a fall wins the title). They all started off in opposite corners. Tomko and Abyss attacked Sabin to start the match. They took him down with a double shoulder tackle and then backed him into the corner. Lethal attacked Tomko from behind and threw him out of the ring. The Black Savage turned his attention toward Abyss and took him down to the mat. Sabin pushed Lethal and told them they needed to work together to beat Abyss. Tomko took advantage of the jibber jabber and attacked the two X divisioners. The champ and his Machoness tossed him out of the ring quickly, though. The x-ers isolated Abyss, but Tomko came back in the ring and threw Lethal over the top rope. Sabin and Tomko battled for early momentum, w/ Tomko scoring with a spinebuster for the first near fall of the match. Lethal then tripped up Sabin after a Tomko Irish whip. Sabin went outside to argue with his fellow small guy. Tomko tried to catch each with a baseball slide, but both men moved and connected on a double clothesline to the bigger challenger. Back in the ring, Sabin hit an arm wrench and elbow combo on Abyss. Lethal and Sabin then double-teamed the former champion. The Black Savage eventually had enough, though, and drilled Sabin with a short-arm clothesline. He took full control when he tossed Abyss out of the ring and tossed him shoulder-first into the ring steps. Back in the ring, Lethal returned his focus to Sabin, driving his elbow into the champ’s sternum and shoulder. Lethal dragged him to the apron and drove him elbow into the champ’s neck and throat. Sabin tried to come back, but Lethal poked him in the eye and connected with a axehandle drop. Abyss came back in the ring and tried to get involved, but Lethal continued his dominance of the match with a Randy Combo. Abyss hoisted Lethal up into a fireman carry position and dropped him with a Samoan drop. Tomko then came into the ring and tried to mix it up, but Sabin still kept the momentum, tossing Abyss aside and immediately pinpointing Tomko’s leg w/ a half Boston Crab. Abyss finally ended Sabin’s roll with a stiff pressing kick, but the champ couldn’t keep any sustained offense, as Lethal came back in the ring and planted him with a clothesline. Tomko couldn’t maintain any offense either, though, as Abyss dodged his second clothesline attempt and hit a rolling back kick. The two eventually traded blows, but Abyss gained control with a sidewalk slam. Sabin then came out of nowhere and knocked both Abyss and Tomko over the top rope. Lethal tried to catch Sabin by surprise with an axehandle , but Sabin noticed in time and took Lethal down with a big firemans carry slam. Sabin proceeded to hoist Lethal in the air with a military press and drop him into a Cradleshock. He then prepared for the 450 Splash but the Problem Solver came in and gave him a big kick. Lethal took advantage and blasted Sabin with the Dragon Suplex. Tomko prevented the pinfall and took control of Lethal, but Abyss came back in the ring and cleaned house. He clotheslined both challengers and gave Sabin a Blackhole Slam. Lethal tried to intervene, but got a clothesline for his trouble. With both of the other challengers out of the ring, Sabin and Abyss were left on opposite sides of the ring. Abyss sto-ed Sabin for a near fall before Sabin could even gain his bearings. Abyss made three separate covers, but couldn’t get the pin. He got frustrated, and got caught with vicious spinebuster by Tomko. Tomko then clotheslined Abyss in the corner multiple times before giving Abyss a belly-to-belly suplex. He then clotheslined Abyss over the top rope. Lethal tried to get involved, but Tomko clotheslined him over the top, as well. Sabin came into the picture and gave Tomko the missile dropkick out of nowhere for a near fall. The Champ tried to follow with a clothesline, but Tomko countered into a roll-up for a near fall of his own. Sabin kept his momentum going with a diving clothesline and geared up for the Cradleshock. Upon his attempt, though, Lethal drilled Sabin with a missile dropkick. Tomko grabbed Sabinl and tossed him shoulder-first into the ring post. Abyss got fired up and gave Tomko a spinebuster. He then hit the Shock Treatment on Sabin, but before Abyss could capitalize he got cut in half by a Rhino’s Gore. With Tomko suffering the effects of the rest of the match and Abyss down and out from Rhino’s spear, Lethal had an opportunity to hit the Savage Elbow, he hit it. 1…2… Christopher Daniels out of nowhere. Daniels hits the Angels Wings on Lethal.
Sabin crawled over and pinned Lethal. Chris Sabin retained the title at 16:55.
