Saturday Night's Main Event Preview
Episode One

-Matches-

The first ever match will feature the two veterns of SNME facing off, Finlay vs Shawn Michaels. Will the Irishmen find his luck? Or will the religious HBK find it deep down to pull out the victory?

Also, the first ever Intercontinental Championship with commence on this first episode. Johnny Nitro will face off against Umaga. Will the unstoppable Samoan capture his first gold on SNME? Or will Nitro defy the odds and defeat the Samoan Bulldozer?

There will also be a Diva's Battle Royal to determine the number one contender for Mickie James' title at Backlash. There will also be two new diva's having their first match in this Battle Royal? Who will they be? Tune into Saturday Night's Main Event to find out!

One half of the World Tag Team Champions, Shelton Benjamin will take on Jeff Hardy this week. Will the purest athlete in the business emerge? Or will the high-flyer fly his way to victory?

The Main Event for the first ever Saturday Night's Main Event will feature Kane and Undertaker taking on Edge and Chris Benoit. Will the two brothers win the first ever Main Event? Or will the two Canadians come out on-top.

-Special Appearences-

This week, JBL will be interviewing the first ever World Heavyweight Champion Shawn Michaels. What will JBL have to say to the Heart Break Kid? Tune in to find out.

Also, Todd Grisham will sit down one-on-one with the Woman's Champion to get her opinion on each Diva that could possibly be fighing for her title at Backlash in 2 weeks. We will also find out who she thinks will be returning for the Number One Contender Battle Royal.

Saturday Night's Main Event
Episode One

Lawler - Welcome fans to the first ever Saturday Night's Main Event!
JBL - Tonight is the debut of greatness.
Lawler - Tonight is action packed with a HUGE tag team match in the Main Event. The BOD will take on Chris Benoit and Edge.
JBL - And I will be interviewing the first ever World Heavyweight Champion, Shawn Michaels. I garentee that it will not be a normal interview.
Lawler - Plus we have the Intercontinental Championship on the line when Johnny Nitro defends the title against Umaga.

Finlay vs World Heavyweight Champion Shawn Michaels

JBL - This is going to be a brutal, and technical match.
Lawler - You've got that right JBL, I've been looking forward to this match all week!
JBL - I hear ya Jerry.

Finlay makes his way down to the ring, and places his sheligh underneath the steel steps.

JBL - What in the hell is Finlay thinking?

DX's music hits the arena and the World Heavyweight Champion, Shawn Michaels makes his way down to the ring.

The ring-bell rings and the match is underway. HBK and Finlay look on at eachother for about a minute, and then a "Lets Get This Started" chant breaks out. Finlay yells over to HBK "What are ya waiting for, I've got no problem waiting all night to start". HBK then moves over to Finlay, and just slaps him in the face. Finlay punches HBK in the stomach, and this match is underway. Finlay then kicks HBK in the stomach, and pushes him down to to the mat. Finlay trys to go for the pin, but HBK quickly jumps up and kicks Finlay back in the stomach, Finlay goes down to the mat. Shawn Michaels quickly throws Finlay out of the ring. Finlay gets up, as HBK is jumping over the ropes, crossbody and Finlay is once again down. Shawn Michaels picks up Finlay and irish whips him into the steel steps. Finlay is reaching for his famous sheligh, HBK comes over to Finlay, and trys to pick him up but gets nailed in the head with the sheligh! Finlay gets up and throws HBK into the ring, he then picks him up for the Celtic Cross. 1-2-3.

Winner: Finlay @ 5:28

JBL - He god damn cheated himself to victory!
Lawler - Tell me something that I don't know.
JBL - Shut up, I have an interview to do.

JBL gets out of his chair and goes into the ring where Shawn Michaels lays semi-consious. He gets the ref to pick HBK pick and hold a mic for him.

JBL - Now Shawn, you our World Heavyweight Champion, and you just lost to someone that isn't even a contender for you're title. How does that make you feel?

HBK - He...he..he cheated.

JBL - Even when I was champion, I didn't make up dumbass excuses to get my ass out of problems like this. How does it feel that you, our World Heavyweight Champion, can't even make admit to a inocent loss?

HBK - Ifff...if you're sooo cocky that you won't make stupid excuses after a cheating loss, why don't face next week in a Steel Cage next week on Saturday Night's Main Event?

JBL - I would accept, but....

HBK - We aren't even to next week and you're already making up fake excuses.

JBL - Even though my god damn back is majorly injured, if it will make you close you're mouth, then I accept! But, only on one other condition. Its for you're World Heavyweight Championship.

HBK - I have no problem facing the guy that hasn't wrestled in a year, in a Cage, for my Heavyweight Title.

JBL - That's what you think.

JBL walks away down to the announcers booth.

HBK looks confused.


Maria is shown backstage with the Intercontinental Champion, Johnny Nitro.

Maria - I just want to get you're thoughts on you're match tonight against the Samoan Bulldozer for the Intercontinental Championship!

Johnny Nitro - What do I think? What do I think! I think that this is the most important match of my career thus far. I'm facing someone that is nearly twice my size. The most important part is that it for my GOLD! Why would Shane put my in this match?!

Maria - Well, why don't we ask him! We have him on satilite right now.

Shane is shown on the TV behind them.

Shane - Nitro, to answer you're question. I put you in this match, cause I believe in you, I belive that you can defy all the critics. Just imagine what this could possibly do to you're career if you get the victory.

Nitro - I'm more worried about my damn health in this match rather than worrying about my future in this industry. What happens if that thing breaks my damn neck?

Shane - Thats a risk I'm willing to take.

Nitro - Well, you're insane.

Shane all of the sudden goes off the TV and Nitro is freaking out.

Maria - Oh yeah, and you're match is next.

Nitro - WHAT!

Nitro walks away in frustration.

Intercontinental Championship - Johnny Nitro (c) vs Umaga

JBL - Nitro has no chance in hell at winning this match. Umaga's record speaks for it all.
Lawler - I wouldn't rule Nitro out yet, this young man is very talented, and I believe that he can pull it off.

Johnny Nitro makes his way to the ring in absolute frustration.

Umaga comes down to the ring with a huge smile on his face.

The ring bell goes, and Umaga is already running at Johnny Nitro in the corner. Nitro quickly moves and then Umaga runs into the turnbuckles, and then Nitro kicks him in the back of the leg, continously kicks him in the back of the leg. Nitro then irish whips Umaga into the other turnbuckles and keeps kicking him in the back of the leg. Umaga is grabbing his leg due to the pain. Nitro starts kicking Umaga in the other leg, Umaga looks like he is nothing without the two legs. Nitro goes out of the ring and tells the announcer that he should get ready to call "Heres your winner, and still Intercontinental Champion, Johnny Nitro". Nitro goes back into the ring and gets the Samoan Spike from Umaga. Umaga starts running towards the rope, and all of the sudden falls over the ropes into two set up tables with chairs stacked at the bottom of both of them.

JBL - Its Triple H, DAMNIT! He is screwing over this Intercontinetal Championship match that Nitro was going to overcome!
Lawler - Triple H is here to save the day!

The ref starts the count as Umaga is unconsious in the rubble of tables and chairs. 1---2---3---4---5---6---7---8---9-----10!

Winner - Still Intercontinental Champion Johnny Nitro @ 3:43

JBL - Umaga was screwed over, he was about to taste his first SNME Gold on the first night!

Triple H takes his sledgehammer and brutally beats the unconsious Umaga as he is still in the rubble of tables. Umaga is busted open.

Coachman's music hits the arena.

Coach - Seeing as I'm the Co-GM, and the GM in charge in Shane's absense, I am going to make the first match for Backlash. It will be Triple H vs Umaga in a Hardcore match!

JBL - Oh my lord! These two, the same ring, in a hardcore match. That match will be as brutal as the finish to this match, and probably even more.
Lawler - Backlash is already shaping up to be a good card.

Todd Grisham is shown in a black room with Mickie James.

Grisham - I just want to get all of you're thoughts on competitors in the Battle Royal for the Number One Contendership for you're title.

James - I'm not going to give all my thoughts on the Divas in the Battle Royal tonight, but I will give my thoughts on the two that will be making their return tonight. I have a strong feeling that Trish will be making a return. The other one will surprise me, but I think it will be someone that I have never faced, someone that wasn't even in when I debuted.

Grisham - Thanks for you're opinion. Who do you think will win the Battle Royal tonight?

James - It doesn't matter who wins the match, I will beat anyone of them. I don't care if Lita comes back, I will still kick her ass. I'm out of her.

Grisham - Thanks for this interview, I guess.

JBL - What if the Extreme Lita returns tonight. All of the the Divas are screwed.
Lawler - I can't wait for this match to happen...
JBL - Why is that King?
Lawler - PUPPIES!
JBL - You just keep getting stupider and stupider by the minute, don't you?

Diva's Battle Royal for the Number One Contendership for the Woman's Title - Maria vs Torrie vs Victoria vs Jillian vs Melina vs ??? vs ???

All of the Diva's make their way to the ring and waiting impatiently for the 2 returning Diva's.

Trish Stratus' music blasts through the arena and the crowd goes insane for the return of the former Woman's Champion.

Trish and all the Diva's are impatiently waiting for the 2nd returning Diva.

Lita's music hits the arena and gets an even bigger crowd reaction than Trish Stratus did.

This match gets under-way as soon as Lita gets into the ring. Melina gets thrown over the top rope right away as the ring bell rings by Maria. Melina looks stunned. Maria is jumping up and down in excitement, then Torrie throws the over-excited Maria over the top rope. Melina's frustration quickly turned into a point-and laughing emotion. Torrie and Jillian are now brawling in the ring. Trish and Lita start working together and trying to take out both Jillian and Torrie. They not both of them out then Lita knocks out Trish Stratus, and Lita raises her arms as if she won. Victoria quickly threw Lita over the top rope. Lita looks on with a stunned face because she thought that she had the match in the bag.

Winner: Number One Contender Victoria @ 6:12

JBL - Nothing gets better than a good Victoria vs Mickie James Woman's Championship match.
Lawler - Nothing can get better than a Woman's match period!

Carlito's music hits the arena, and gets a pretty big pop.

Carlito - Everyone has a match on the first night of SNME except Carlito. Carlito wasn't even thought for the World Heavyweight championship. I demand respect around this place. I challenge anyone to a match tonight.

King Booker's music hits the arena.

King Booker - Carlito, I'm tired of hearing you complain. I was overlooked also, but I ain't out here blabbering my mouth off about how I miss out. I'm in no shape to compete tonight, but I will hold you to a match in the future, okay. Sucka?

Carlito - Even though I wasn't expecting someone thats so high of himself that he changed his name to King Booker, I will accept that match offer. It will be at Backlash, which is in two weeks. If you aren't ready to compete then you will be DQ'd and ....

Johnny Nitro's music hits the arena.

Nitro - Fresh off my win, I'm going around to brag to someone about my victory against the biggest guy in the company today....

King Booker - Hold on a damn minute! You did not tell me, what I think you were just telling me! You're telling me that you defeated Umaga? Hell no! I believe it was a countout, sucka. Therefore, you keep yo damn title, and still get a victory that normal losers get. If you're so confident that you can beat anyone for your title, then you willl put it on the line against me at Backlash...

Carlito - How about you wait a damn minute. You're in a match with Carlito. Nice trying to get out of a match with Carlito.

Nitro - Something just came across my mind that will get both of of your ways. I'm thinking Triple Threat, I'm think my Intercontinental title.

King Booker - You're on sucka.

Nitro - I'm happy that you see it my way.

Nitro's music plays as he walks up the ramp.

Coach is shown in his office.

Coach - Everyone is looking forward to the HUGE tag team match tonight in the Main Event. I am going to spice things up and make it a Number One Contendership match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Heres how it will go, the pinning/submitting person will get a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship in 2 weeks at Backlash. Plus, the person that gets pinned, will face the pinners tag team partner at Backlash in a Ladder match. The same thing goes along with a submission finish. Next we will witness Jeff Hardy vs World Tag Team Champion Shelton Benjamin.

Shelton Benjamin vs Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy comes down to the ring.

Shelton Benjamin comes down to the ring with his tag team partner Charlie Haas.

The match starts off with Benjamin and Hardy locked up in the middle of the ring, then Umaga's music hits the arena. Umaga makes his way down to the ring with a steel chair. He nails Shelton Benjamin with the chair and the ring bell goes off. Then he nails Jeff Hardy with the steel chair. Umaga yells something along the lines of "Triple H is mine!"

Winner - Shelton Benjamin DQ @ 0:14

JBL - Umaga has gone mad.
Lawler - Triple H has got this monster to deal with at Backlash in 2 weeks in a Hardcore match.

Coach's music hits the arena.

Coach - We are having so many controversial matches so far tonight, that I keep having to make matches for Backlash. Here is another senerio. At Backlash, The Hardys will challenge for the World Tag Team Championship against the Worlds Greatest Tag Team. This won't be any regular match, if anyone interfers, then the team that got interfered first with win the match, and most importantly the World Tag Team Championships. And if anything happens to my main event tonight, the person that does anything will get a 1 month suspension without pay.

Brothers Of Destruction vs Edge and Chris Benoit

The BOD comes out to Kane's music.

Edge and Chris Benoit come out to Edge's music.

The match starts off with Benoit and Taker locked up in the middle of the ring then Benoit quickly gets untangled and starts giving chops to the chest of Taker. He chops him all the way into the turnbuckle where Kane is, Kane is tagged in and starts to dominate. He quickly gives Benoit the big boot then goes over to Edge and knocks him off the outter mat. Edge is now laying of the ground on the outside of the ring. Benoit knocks off Taker into the baracade on the side. Kane and Benoit are still in the ring and have a long stare-down. Benoit starts to move towards Kane and then Kane runs at Benoit, Benoit then takes Kane's arm and locks in the Crippler-Crossface! After about a minute of suffering, Kane taps out to the Crossface. Edge then takes two chairs and puts one underneath Kane's head and then nails the Con-Chairto to Kane 3 times. Kane is a bloddy mess.

Winner - Chris Benoit and Edge @ 12:54

JBL - Chris Benoit will meet either myself or HBK at Backlash
Lawler - And Kane will face off against Edge in a Ladder match!

Coach comes out.

Coach - Undertaker, oh Undertaker. Looks like you don't have a match. I am going to have you face The Future, Kennedy and MVP in a No DQ Handicap match.

Kennedy's music hits the arena, and here comes Team Future.

They start off by kicking Undertaker in the sides, then pick him up and do a double clothesline. MVP then turns around and starts doing his cocky pose, then Kane clotheslines MVP! Kennedy then tries to go for the attack on Kane, but Kane catches Kennedy by the throat. Kane then picks up Undertaker, Undertaker puts his hand on Kennedy's neck. Double chokeslam. Kane's music goes off and does the big bang and then the fire comes out of the ring posts as the first ever Saturday Night's Main Event goes off the air.

Preview for next weeks SNME

Next week, to start off the show, the World Heavyweight Champion Shawn Michaels puts his title on the line in a Steel Cage match against JBL. Will the cocky announcer capture his first taste of gold, and defy the critics about his bad back? Or will Shawn Michaels retain the title and have the edge going into Backlash against Chris Benoit?

Also, Team Future tried to make a bold statement to the Undertaker last week on SNME, but was interupted by the big red machine Kane. This week we will witness Kane and Undertaker teaming up to take on Team Future. Will Team Future be able to weaken the Undertaker and roll into Backlash on a high note, plus overcome the odds and defeat the BOD? Or will Team Future just be another one of those victims added to BOD's list?

Also this week, the match that was originally scheduled will take place on this weeks SNME. Carlito will take on King Booker. Will the King cheat to win? Or will Carlito's apple spitting ways lead him to victory?

Shane McMahon will be at this weeks SNME live for 2 reasons. The first being that he has a HUGE contract signing between Umaga and Triple. Will this contract signing get violent fast? The second reason is that he will have a big announcement involving the World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash. What will this announcement be? Will it affect the two competitors in the match?

it was weird how hbk challenges jbl to a cage match right out of the blue. i mean a normal match would make sense, but a cage? weird and dumb. and also, how does the tables and chairs come out of nowwhere in umagas match. plus why would hhh beat him up with no good reason. overall it was okay. 7/10

Lawler - Welcome to this weeks edition of Saturday Night's Main Event! I'm Jerry Lawler..
Todd Grisham - And I'm Todd Grisham filling in for JBL who has possibly his biggest match of his entire career, he challenges Shawn Michaels for the World Heavyweight Championship, the winner will face Chris Benoit this Monday at Backlash for that same title.
Lawler - Exactly Todd. Tonight we will also see a HUGE tag team match between Team Future and the BOD.
Todd - That match will be brutal, can the Future break down the Undertaker going into this Monday? Also, we will witness the original match for Backlash, King Booker will take on Carlito.
Lawler - We will also see Shane McMahon. Hes here to have a contract signing between Triple H and Umaga, plus he will be here to make a announcement for this Mondays World Heavyweight Championship match.

Lillian - It is time for the Steel Cage World Heavyweight Title match! Now in this match, you can either win by escaping the cage, or by pinfall/submission.

JBL's music hits the arena. JBL makes his way down to the ring in his Limo. JBL is walking around the ring.

Shawn Michaels Sexy Boy music hits the arena and comes down to the ring without taking his eyes off of JBL.

The Steel Cage comes down to the ring. The ring bell goes.

Shawn Michaels quickly locks up with JBL in the middle of the ring. HBK breaks off and then does the super kick to the back of JBL. JBL falls straight to the ground grasping his back. HBK goes to start climbing out of the cage, JBL trys to get up but falls back down again. HBK is almost to the top when JBL gets up, he then sees HBK nearing the top then grabs him by the pants and pulls him down. HBK is now grasping his back. JBL puts his arms up as if he got the victory already. He yells to Lillian "You better get ready to say And Your New World Heavyweight Champion..J..B..L...." HBK goes for the roll up pin..1--2----- kickout. HBK gets up in frustration for the long count. JBL gets up and is waiting for HBK to turn around. HBK turns around and then ducks as JBL is trying for the Clothesline from Hell and nails the Ref! JBL is looking on as if he had just seen a ghost. HBK is laughing at JBL, JBL then says "You'll get whats coming HBK." They lock up once again in the middle of the ring, HBK pushes JBL and then lifts up the leg for the Super Kick and nails it! HBK lays down for the pin, 1--2--3, thats what would have happened if JBL didn't nail the ref with the CFH. HBK gets up and jumps onto the cage. He is almost to the top when JBL gets up and starts climbing. They are both on the top of the cage. Chris Benoit's music hits the arena! He comes down to the ring and starts climbing the cage. He then pulls HBK off! HBK goes flying to the ground! JBL looks on in disgust then pushes Chris Benoit down to the ground as well. JBL climbs down to the ground then goes over to Lillian and takes the World Heavyweight Championship. He picks up Shawn Michaels and then nails him in the head with the World Title. He does the exact same to Chris Benoit. JBL holds the World Title up high above both of them.

Winner - Still World Heavyweight Champion Shawn Michaels @ 14:25

Lawler - What an insane finish to that insane match. Chris Benoit saved the day, now I don't have to hear my partner talk about how he is the World Heavyweight Champion.
Todd Grisham - I think I can agree with you on that one there Jerry. Lets go to Maria backstage with the loser, JBL.

JBL - What do I think? WHAT DO I THINK! I think that I was god damn screwed, thats right, I was screwed. Chris Benoit could have waited his turn, but he had to come and interupt a match that was going to be a 5 star match. I am getting sick and tired of Chris Benoit screwing other people over.

Team Future's music hits the arena as Mr. Kennedy and MVP comes down to the ring.

BOD comes down to the ring.

MVP and Kane start off in the ring. They lock up in the middle of the ring. MVP quickly pushes Kane away then tags in Mr. Kennedy. Kennedy looks at MVP confussingly. Kennedy gets into the ring and Kane hits him in the mouth. He tags in Undertaker. Undertaker and Kane go for the double clothesline on Kennedy. Edge comes in from the crowd! He is in the corner getting ready for the Spear. The ref is completely oblivious to this! Kane turns around and gets the Spear! Undertaker turns around and looks confused. The ref looks at Edge and says "What did you do?" Edge smirks and leaves the ring. MVP throws Undertaker down to the ground and then holds him. Kennedy is on the top rope, then lands the Kenton Bomb on the Undertaker! Kennedy pins Undertaker 1--2--3.

Winner - Team Future @ 3:43

Team Future and Edge are in the ring as they celebrate this victory. Edge starts the assault on Kane and Team Future do the same to Undertaker. They finally leave the ring.

Shane - As many of you know, I'm here for 2 reasons. A contract signing, and to announce something to do with the WHC at Backlash. First things first though, I will add two more matches to Backlash. That match will be Kenny Dykstra vs Finlay, and Gregory Helms defending his title against Chavo Guerrero. Now, to the World Title. Everyone has seen Chris Benoit put on great long matches, same with Shawn Michaels. Therefore, I'm adding a stipulation. It will be a 3 Stages of Hell match. Thats right, I'm bringing the match back to life. The first fall will be in a Ladder match, Shawn Michaels has the advantage in that match. Next, the 2nd fall will be a Submission match, that is Benoits speciality match. The third fall will be a simple, 30 Minute Iron Man match! And now, I will be heading down to the ring to have the Contract signing between Triple H and Umaga.

Triple H's music hits the arena.

Umaga comes down to the ring.

Shane - Okay guys, this will be a clean contract signing, do you understand.

Triple H - Only if Umaga agrees.

Umaga says something along the lines of I agree.

Shane - Okay, Triple H, please sign here.

Shane - Now Umaga sign here.

Umaga writes all over the paper "UMAGA"

Umaga then hits the contract on Triple H's head and then gives him the Spike.

Umaga - UMAGA!!!!

Umaga's music hits the arena as he leaves the ring.

Maria - I'm here with the Intercontinental Champion, Johnny Nitro!

Maria - Who do you think will win the match tonight.

Nitro - Does it really matter? I mean, I'm the IC champion, nobody can beat me. Not even that 400 pounder Umaga. I have better stuff to do, seriously.

King Bookers music hits the arena and he comes down to the ring.

Same with Carlito.

Carlito jumps at Booker, Carlito then starts throwing tons of punches at Booker. Carlito gets up and then starts kicking King Booker in the side. Carlito picks up Booker and gives him a Backcracker. Carlito quickly pins Booker 1--2--3.

Lawler - That was the quickest Main Event I have ever seen!
Todd - Do you think that Booker and Nitro might be in trouble this Monday at Backlash?
