- It is being reported that UFC Heavyweight Andrei Arlovski wanted to walk to the Octagon for his UFC 70 fight against Fabricio Werdum with both the American flag and the Belarus flag. The arena security, however, took the American flag away from him and would not allow him to walk to the Octagon with it. "I was very disappointed," the victorious heavyweight told reporters.
- Dana White confirmed the UFC would be doing a show in Canada in the near future but did not specify a date or location.
- Matt Hughes and Matt Serra will fight for the Welterweight Championship at the conclusion of the Ultimate Fighter 6 season. Both men have been announced as the "Head Coaches" for the upcoming season.
- With the Serra/Hughes title fight so far off, Georges "Rush" St. Pierre will not be able to get his title rematch against Matt "The Terror" Serra as soon as me would like. Dana White has said that St. Pierre might fight Josh Koscheck in the meantime to solidify his place as the number one contender in the UFC. Koscheck is coming off his huge, one-sided victory over Diego Sanchez at UFC 69 Last Month in Texas.
