SmackDown Diva Ashley will be out of in-ring action after the vicious attack by Jillian on SmackDown. Ashley has loosened a screw in her ankle that will need to be surgically repaired. The screw will be reinserted into a plate in her ankle – a plate inserted last year after Ashley fractured her tibia and fibula while in action. There is no timetable for her in-ring return.

WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London & Brian Kendrick were in action without their friend at ringside, and the duo spoke out on Ashley’s injury. “It was tough going out there tonight without Ashley,” said Brian Kendrick. “But we wish her the best.”

Paul London added, “Ashley wanted us to go out and compete and hold on to the titles, and we did.”

World Wrestling Entertainment announced last night that WWE Diva Ashley Massaro would need to undergo surgery due as a screw in her ankle plate (which was inserted last year after she fractured her tibia) was loosened and has to be reinserted. There's no timetable at this time for her return.

Massaro was in the midst of her biggest push to date, stemming from her posing for Playboy Magazine.

Ok, so heres the deal...I've had a lil bit of trouble with my ankle the passed couple months, where I had surgery last year and the metal plate and screws were inserted. And basically after Jillian attacked me on Smackdown, that just about did it. My foot needed to be repaired. Once and for all. Pain in the neck...and pain in the foot. Hehe. So I've been in and out of the docs and having it fixed once and for all so I can come back in a few and rip Jillians head off for putting me through this again.
I will literally be back in action asap so nobody bug out. Just gotta get it fixed and healed is all. No big deal at all. Thanks for all the messages about it. And trust me I will be coming back with a vengence. My ankle and foot will be in the best shape its ever been in after this and I will be able to work and train harder. Mark my words you guys are going to see a significant change in my work. Anyway, thanks again for all the support, messages, and comments about the injury.
