WWE divas to be in Timbaland video

Written: March 26, 2007World Wrestling Entertainment is pleased to officially announce it has signed a deal to work with Timbaland, the world-famous record producer, song writer, rapper and huge WWE fan. Timbaland is an avid WWE Divas fan, and has big plans to use some of the Sexiest Women in Television in his next video. (No word yet on which lucky Divas will film with Timbaland.)

“WWE is extremely excited about the opportunity to work with Timbaland. We promise the Divas will help make Timbaland the hottest music video ever,” said Kristin Prouty, WWE’s Vice President of Entertainment Relations.

Timbaland’s second solo album, Timbaland Presents Shock Value, will be released worldwide April 3 on Interscope Records. The album’s first single, titled “Give It To Me,” features two of today’s hottest acts, Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado. Known for working with fellow major artists, Timbaland’s other special guests on Timbaland Presents Shock Value include The Hives, Fall Out Boy, 50 Cent, She Wants Revenge and Elton John.

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – Six of the Sexiest Women on Television are the sexiest women to hit Timbaland’s latest music video. Ashley, Torrie, Maryse, Brooke, Layla and Kelly Kelly filmed the “Throw it on Me” video with Timbaland and The Hives at Universal Studios yesterday.

The Divas danced, had a fashion photo shoot and got in the ring for the “Timb City” theme video. What exactly is Timb City? Well, WWE fans, you’ll have to wait for the exclusive world premiere of the “Throw it on Me” video May 21 on Raw.

“The reason I asked the Divas to be in my video was because I didn’t want the typical casting for this. I wanted women who mean something,” Timbaland told WWE.com “The Divas have a fan base of their own. They’re all stars. Each in their own way, they all mean something.”

Each of the six Divas showcases their unique personalities in the video, through their sexy dance moves and one-of-a-kind outfits created by designer Jared Gold.

“We love it. We play. We taunt. This is our moment. We get the opportunity to express ourselves,” Layla said. “To be a part of this, to be a part of Timbaland’s video is really amazing.”

Layla’s Extreme Expose partner, Brooke, said she’s excited to appear in the music video, because she’s never done anything like this before.

“We’re really lucky to get to work with such an amazing person like Timbaland. He’s a top producer,” Brooke said. “Plus we get to work with The Hives. This is a fun experience.”

Maryse said the WWE Divas are a perfect fit for the “Throw it on Me” video.

“I think the WWE Divas are very strong women, with strong personalities, so we fit the song,” Maryse said. “We need music with a lot of energy. It makes us want to move, want to dance and have fun.”

Pelle Almqvist, lead singer of The Hives, is a WWE fan, so he was thrilled to work with the WWE Divas on his band’s collaboration with Timbaland.

“I think it’s a good thing the WWE Divas are in the video,” said Almqvist. “They’re nice and they’re fun. They’re great at wrestling, and they look good in the video.”

In addition to WWE.com, E! and TV Guide covered the shoot at the Universal Studios soundstage. Overall, WWE is pleased with the way the video is turning out.

“Timbaland is a long time fan of WWE. He came to Raw in Dayton, Ohio, and saw how beautiful and talented our current Divas are, and thought it would be great to use them for his video,” said Kristin Prouty, WWE’s vice president of Entertainment Relations. “Timbaland is now thrilled that he picked the Divas for his video. The video is so hot, sexy and creative. Everyone is betting money on it winning a video music award.”

Torrie has been offered movie roles and other things outside WWE, but she's turned them all down. She may not be an actual wrestler, but she loves the WWE.

Anyway, i guess these girls think it's harmless fun. You know to get paid to dance around in a video clip while having fun. Trying to make a name for themselves while they're at it. But thats okay if you're a model or another singer, actor. But these girls are from the WWE and though they appear to be hot to the guys, they're bringing in the wrong audience that we don't want in the WWE. They're giving WWE a bad name as people who aren't familar with WWE will be like 'so this is what wrestling is all about now, a bunch of airheads with no one bit of muscle on them known to the world as employees of a wrestling company.'

There is no doubt in my mind that these girls aren't offered to learn to wrestle. As from that quote of Vince's and from the state of the lack of needed talent i find it impossible, but they'd rather take offers to do things such as this. And its not right. THis is fucken obvious that these girls are only in the WWE to get a name for themselves.

Those 'things' on Kellyx2's legs look ridiculous while her hair looks cheap and tacky. Layla looks like an 80's style hooker and needs to do a Britney Spears and lose that hair (or she could always borrow one of Sharmell's wigs.) Trashley looks stupid with the tacky hair extentions, Avril Lavinge look tie, and she needs to wear something different apart from the fishnets and hiker boots all the damn time! Come on girl you make more money then your 'boys' L&K, so you'd think you'd be able to buy something different for a change?
