The Rock Or Stone Cold

It is a question thats been asked For Years.........
IN THERE PRIME who was better The Rock or Stone Cold?

I belive that The Rock was better for the fact that he didnt rely on gimmicks that much to get were he got while stone Cold did. I also think the Rock was a way better wrestler than Stone Cold.


So what are your toughts?

The Rock for sure. You cant deni that Rock had a way bigger impact on the wrestling industry then Stone Cold. If Stone Cold didnt get hurt by Owen then i think he would maybe have been more popular but then again, The Rock can actually wrestle.

I don't know, Austin was huge in 1998. His whole run with the title and his legendary feud with Mr. McMahon. True that the Rock was a better wrestler and entertainer but I would say Austin was getting more love.

Austin did what every person in America wanted to do..he kicked his boss in the nuts and gave him the business. The fans really were attached to that. I also feel that Austin was a huge draw because of the stunts they would allow him to pull. He drove Beer trucks, Zamboni's and his own pick-up into the arenas and used them as weapons. Fans were excited and went to the matches or turned on their tv;s expecting to see something insane happen.

This is really close for me, but I have to give the SLIGHT edge to Austin in this case.

I know this basically ended his career shortly to being with but in reality he only missed 3-4 months. He wrestled Owen at the Survivor Series and the dismantled the Nation at DX: In Your House. I wouldn't put too much emphasis on the injury at the time but it is true in the long run that it did effect him.

Stone Cold by a mile. Yes, The Rock was entertaining, but so was Austin. Also Austin had better ring abilities than Rocky. The Rock was a good wrestler, but he never had the skills that a guy like Austin, HBK, and Triple H had when it came to wrestling.

I like SCSA, but The Rock pwns him in wrestling ability and mic skills.

I'm sure Rock has more then the wrestling moveset we always see, but he still is better than SC. Imo I think it's because of stone's knee braces and I think that kinda limits him in the ring and keeps him from doing any of his other moves that he did back in WCW.

But when your talking about mic skills The Rock > SCSA.

both are very good on the mic
bothe are very charasmatic
both are good in the ring
but the rock is just a little better than austin in those gategories

i like stone cold better than the rock, because he was really good on the mic and was an outlaw and "stuck it to the man"...he didnt take any shit. i always got exited when i heard the glass break...and still do to this day

But in their prime it would be hard to say they were both really good, i think austin had alot more power,although the rock was faster....

This is really a tough one. Anyone who says Austin can't wrestle is flat out lieing. I like Rocky a lot but I like SCSA too. Rock was a big draw in his prime but I think Austin was bigger in his prime. Rock may be a slightly better wrestler but Austin was so much more entertaining. Rock still cuts a great promo. The one a couple weeks ago was really good. But I give the edge to Austin

I personally dont think Austin will continue to be a good draw if they keep bringing him back. It's just like Hogan, he keeps reappearing and reappearing and they keep booking him for huge shows because they feel he's going to draw in all these fans because they cant let go of the past and how popular they were back then.

But the Rock rarely and I mean rarely shows up on Raw, that's why the pop he got was way better than the one SC got because Rock is more over with the fans at this point. He's always doing movies and everything, but most people will known him because of his time in WWE, but we never see him anymore on wrestling. That's why more people will cheer him and that's why he's a bigger draw than Austin. Because it is a rare time that the "Great One" will make an appearance, he's not repeatedly shoved down our throats showing up on Raw all the time.

i would say austin he was a better wrestler than rock i hated his overdramatic flip when he got stunned and when he would be gasping for air after a chair shot he would try to get up and would fall down again and his twitching after being layed out he went overboard on his acting in the ring

You must be talking about when he was in WCW, because he was never that good in WWE. Aside from a few matches with Bret and Owen Hart, he always did the same old shit in every match.
The Rock, on the other hand, was a good wrestler.

Stone Cold Steve Austin for sure, he singled handedly carried that company through the Monday Night Wars. If WCW would have played him right and kept him WCW would now own WWE today. Austin was always more funny and people can relate to him. Austin is a great wrestler who is one of the BEST brawler types I have ever seen. Austin was always doing something there was never a dull moment.

Simply more entertaining from my perspective. I'm a total mark for the guy and he was really underrated in the ring too. He had tons of thrilling matches and always carried the company well. Great heel, great face, great wrestler. Great guy.
