According to new reports, Vince McMahon has given some indications recently that the Women's Division will be more T&A oriented and will get less TV time now that former stars such as Trish Stratus and Lita have left the company. Looking at the roster, the only two legitimate female wrestlers are Victoria and Mickie James. McMahon is said to like both, but feels they aren't marketable on the level that Trish and Lita were. It should also be noted that women in WWE's developmental territories have been told to sit tight and not anticipate a call-up to any of the main WWE rosters.

Well that sucks for us inspiring wrestlers.

Anyway, the women's division is going through a bad stage, just like in 1998-1999. Lita, Trish, Molly, Ivory saved it during the 2000's. Now it's back to where it's started. Hopefully in 5 years time it'll be a different story. We can only hope.

THe thing that confuses me is how they cant getit through their heads that people dont like these chicks. I mean, every year crownd reaction is worse to the DS. On top of that you have internet journalists and practically every major wrestilng magazine dissing this crap. Plus the WWE superstars themselves dont like it. Why is anyone shocked? Womens wrestling is not a large enough draw compared to just having Women as managers/valets.

It only costs X amount of $ to have a Women to play a manager/valet, and dont run the risk of injury, and it draws XXX amount of people.

First thought that goes through vinces head is Business and will it or will it not work, or which way will work better for business.

I guarantee if anyone was in his position they would do the same thing, and if they say they wouldn't, then i wouldn't want to do business with them, as i know it would cost me money that is not needed to spend, or lose.

This is one of the few things I see TNA doing better over WWE, and thats by not having a womens division, and just having The women come out and be by ringside, and maybe getting involved every now and then.

Well, her official website is nattieneidhart.tripod.com, and everything else I have seen of her she goes by Neidhart, I do get what you are saying though, why not use Hart as her last name in the business, like her cousin Teddy, whos last name is Annis (it's his mom as well that is a Hart)

Bret Hart's "Heart Beat" leads us into the interview with the daughter of Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, Nattie Neidhart.

Nattie's place in Hart Family wrestling legacy is as follows: Nattie is the daughter of Jim "the Anvil" Neidhart, who married into the Hart family (her mother is Ellie Hart), her uncles are Bret, Owen, and Davey Boy, and her grandfather is Stu Hart.

Nattie wasn't always interested in wrestling, as her father tried to shelter her from the business. However, after taking a few acting classes, as well as getting involved with "Mat Rats," she asked to learn a few moves and that's when the wrestling bug bit her.

Nattie is quite close with her cousins, Harry Smith and Teddy Hart.

According to Nattie, "Mat Rats" wasn't Teddy Hart's "brainchild." Teddy was the main wrestler on the show and had lots of ideas. Nattie also explains that Teddy "wears his heart on his sleeve" and has always been as "high strung," even as a kid!

Nattie doesn't have education beyond High School, but could have gone to University.

Nattie knows how difficult it is to work in front of a camera, and puts over Mauro Ranallo (who co-hosts the PRIDE fights with Bas Rutten) as someone who helped her a lot with getting comfortable with doing the ring announcing for "Mat Rats."

Jim was very protective of Nattie's decision to be a wrestler, and didn't approve of her going to Japan. When she came back, after a successful tour, Jim began to believe that Nattie had a career in Japan.

Nattie enjoyed the food in Japan, unlike Bret, and was impressed with the level of woman's wrestling in Japan. However, the trip was difficult for her because of the language barrier, although Nattie put over how the Japanese were willing to help irregardless. She also learned how to "tough it out" on her

Nattie mainly wrestles in Calgary, although she has traveled to Europe and Japan to wrestle. Her main problem is that it's expensive for promoters to fly her out of Western Canada. She also puts over Tracy Brooks, who relocated herself to Nashville and can therefore work a constant schedule.

Nattie has had a long running feud with Belle Lovitz in Stampede Wrestling, which she attributes to the lack of quality women wrestlers in the US and Canada.

Nattie thinks the WWE is doing something right, as they are a billion dollar company, and concedes that with such a small women's division, you can't have the same kind of match every night, lest the fans get bored.

Nattie isn't prudish about doing a "bra and panties" match, as she'd consider it a night off from wrestling! "I'm not really a very prudish person about that because, growing up in the wrestling business, you see so many different things and so many- I don't know, you can get pretty jaded. So, you think about 'Bra and Panties' and it's like 'oh, big deal.'"

One of Nattie's goals is to join the WWE, because she'd like to carry on her grandfather's legacy in the business.

Nattie is training in both Amateur and Pro Wrestling, as well as MMA. She finds that having a variety of styles in her background helps her, including core strength and fluidity of motion. She puts over Kurt Angle as someone who doesn't look stiff in the ring.

Nattie says that being part of the Hart Wrestling legacy is a double edged sword. She has a name already, but she has to work hard to meet the audience's expectations.

According to Nattie, the biggest problem for women in wrestling is the lack of quality girls to wrestle with. Nattie doesn't know if a woman's wrestling organization would work in the US and Canada because of that reason.

Within the next 5 years, Nattie wants to be happy and doing what she wants to do, whatever that is.
