To follow up on my earlier report on the AWA website advertising Paul Heyman joining the promotion, run by Dale Gagner (who goes by the name Dale Gagne). Dave Scherer of PWInsider is reporting that this is a case of blatant false advertising.

Reports suggest that Paul Heyman is still under a WWE contract. It is unknown if his release will still be worked on, or if Vince McMahon will be dealing with it once he returns from Iraq, WWE may even try to figure a way to keep Paul Heyman off the market.

Dave Scherer confirmed that Paul Heyman is done from his creative perspective, however he is not completely free of his contract at this point, meaning he is unable to appear with a different promotion.
