Thats a good point. The best thing to take is probably JuJitsu or Grappling because it will give you a lot of experience and it will improve your abilities when it comes to wrestling.

back to what this thread is really about,
frazz, NBW looks pretty sweet but i didnt see you on the wrestlers page.
NBW seems to have a great variety wich i always thought was important to wrestleing.

I'm currently 15 so i can't do much but watch and pick up on things. But the good thing is that i know someone (you all know him as yankees25m) and whenever he's in town and i see him all we talk about is wrestling and how things are executed. but yeah other than that its just basically backyard horribly done ameture with my cousin or my friends which basically means its all poorly executes takedowns and maybe the occasional shit dropkick. but yeah i'm gonna try and find a wrestling school and focus on possibly going into business after high school.

Backyard wrestlers suck.
bawjustice

^we gotta start somewere
and "backyard wrestleing" gets a bad rap from the idiots that end up on the news cause they do stupid things and dont know thier moves.
so dont say backyard wrestlers suck untill youve seen the person your talking to actually wrestle. not that anyone will ever be able to change your mind.

The older you do that, the better.
There's two types of tests for a black belt.
The whimpy kiddy one.
And then the adult one.
Which involves running 10 miles in the summer heart.
Hour plus long sparring session with the INSTRUCTORS, plus 30 minutes of grappling.
And then another hour of weapon sparring.
Not to mention memorizing way too mana katas.
